Current status (October 2026): Litter Box Picks has not joined any affiliate program yet, including Amazon Associates. No link on the site is a paid link today. Product buttons go straight to manufacturer pages and earn us nothing.

The short version, once we do join: if you click a link marked "paid link" and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer. You don't pay more. The price is the same whether or not you use our link.

Amazon Associates

We plan to apply to the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We are not a participant yet. If we are accepted, this section will carry Amazon's required statement, and Amazon links will be marked "paid link."

Other affiliate programs

We may also earn commissions from manufacturers and retailers we link to, such as PetSafe, Chewy or Whisker (Litter-Robot), through their affiliate programs or affiliate networks. We have not joined any of these programs yet. If we do, those links will be marked "paid link" too.

How we label paid links

  • Every article shows a disclosure box near the top, before the first affiliate link.
  • Buttons and text links that earn us a commission are followed by "(paid link)" or "(paid links)."
  • Affiliate links are coded with rel="sponsored nofollow", which tells search engines they're commercial links.

How we keep commissions out of our recommendations

  • No paid placement. Brands can't pay to be included or ranked. We don't accept payment for reviews.
  • Picks come first, links second. We decide which products to recommend from published specs, manufacturer documentation and veterinary guidance, then add links where they exist. Some products we discuss have no affiliate link at all.
  • Different commission rates don't change rankings. Retailers pay different rates. We don't rank products by what they pay us.
  • Honest about our methods. Our guides are research-based. We don't claim hands-on testing we haven't done.

Free products and sponsorships

We currently don't accept free products, sponsored posts or paid reviews. If that ever changes, we'll clearly disclose it on the affected page, as the FTC's Endorsement Guides require.
